The German Football Boarding School traveled to Fürstenfeldbruck on Sunday morning. The third match day for the U14 was coming up. With the opponent from Fürstenfeldbruck a great chance was expected to get points for the first time. Although the host is better off with three points more, but the last game was also clearly lost. Therefore, the guests have planned a lot and wanted to earn the first three points away from home. This was noticeable right from the start of the game. DFI was much better in the match, put Fürstenfeldbruck under pressure from the start and created many opportunities to take a clear lead early on. After a foul, the guests got a good free kick opportunity, half-right in front of the sixteen. Dardan Oshlani took the ball and flicked it under the crossbar into the goal. DFI deservedly took the lead early on, and Bad Aibling also created some really good opportunities after that. The only reproach until then was the efficiency in front of the opponent’s goal. Fürstenfeldbruck thus remained in the game and came in between every now and then through long high balls dangerous in front of the goal. So it came as it had to come in the 30th minute. A long ball got behind the last chain of Bad Aibling, the striker of the hosts could not be stopped and scored the equalizer. A bitter setback for the guests, who had left quite a few chances until then. But it got worse. Less than three minutes later, the host finished from distance, the ball flew into the goal just under the crossbar, so the game was turned. The DFI had to cope with the deficit first and went into the halftime break thoughtful about their own game.
The chances that the U14 had played out gave courage for the next 35 minutes. From the beginning DFI pressed for the equalizer. In the 50th minute then finally the redemption, the second ball after a free kick by Markus Retzer landed with the substitute Ogi Susa, which equalized to 2:2. After the goal, the knot was broken, Laurenz Stöckel heads in after a corner to the interim 2:3 and shortly thereafter increased Yanik Dörfler also after a corner to 2:4. The game now turned in only one direction, Ogi Susa could once again increase, but unfortunately was just offside. In the last minute, again through a corner kick, Laurenz Stöckel finalized for the second time the final score 2:5.
An important and deserved victory for the U14 of the German Football Boarding School. Thus, the boys collect their first three points and leave the last place in the table. The performance gives us courage for the next tasks, which will again be about fighting spirit and team performance.
